Find upcoming recertification opportunities.
Investigate buildings by their reported status, published deadlines, or approximate age-based recertification anniversary. Verify each candidate with the authority before contacting owners or relying on any dates.
Important: Age-based dates use a simplified 30-year initial and 10-year repeat cycle. They are screening estimates, not legal submission deadlines. Actual requirements depend on jurisdiction, qualifying building type, historic transition rules, coastal designation, official notice and certificate of occupancy. “Not submitted” requires an explicit source status; no submission date alone is insufficient. Results are limited to the returned municipal sample, not all South Florida buildings.
Fort Lauderdale building safety inspection research
The City of Fort Lauderdale administers its Building Safety Inspection Program. The first inspection generally starts at 25 years, with subsequent inspections every 10 years, subject to exemptions and official notices. Broward County publishes annual Building Safety Inspection Program property lists, including Fort Lauderdale parcels scheduled for inspection. These lists establish a scheduled inspection year, not whether a report was submitted, a notice was received, or a deadline was missed. ZORIO does not have a verified automated city case-status feed; pending, overdue, and unsubmitted statuses cannot be determined from these lists.
Official program rules and contact details · Broward 2026 scheduled-property list (Excel) · Search City records through LauderBuild
The county 2026 list identifies properties built in 1966, 1976, and 2001, including Fort Lauderdale addresses. For specific inspection requirements, filing status, or extensions, search LauderBuild by address or contact the City Building Safety Program. Do not treat a missing public record as proof of non-submission.
